About Us
The StyleEase Writing Information Center is operated by StyleEase Software, LLC, developers of the StyleEase family of academic writing products.
We created styleease.info to provide information to academic writers, and to host our online courses, which are currently offered free of charge.
The heart of this endeavor is the people behind the Writing Information Center:

Gary Hillerson spent the 70s writing software for other
companies, the 80s writing software for a
Silicon Valley company he founded with two other
engineers, Team Engineering, Inc., and the 90s
writing technical documentation for Silicon
Valley companies like Apple, Palm, Motorola, and
Sun.
Gary offers counseling to men, women, and couples in the Santa Cruz area, where he also leads several therapy groups. He lives in Corralitos, California and
considers the Big Island of Hawaii his second
home. In his spare time, Gary plays piano, meditates, gardens, travels, and enjoys
time with his partner, Susan.
Gary is our lead courseware designer and developer. |

Richard Beal is a former
Vice-President of the Internet pioneering company Netscape
Communications, and spent 28 years working for Silicon Valley
companies. Richard and his wife Kathy live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where
in his spare time, he writes local history books and collects and sells
cowboy buckles.
Richard is in charge of customer relations and business development. |

Marie McCourt works as a Project Coordinator for a network of 10 after-school programs for Hampshire Educational Collaborative, a non-profit agency in Northampton, Massachusetts. She is also pursuing her degree in Human Resources Management through Walden University. Before her current jobs, Marie had her own computer consulting and desktop publishing business for 12 years, and still enjoys helping a small number of clients part-time. She currently lives in Western Massachusetts with her husband and son. She enjoys, music, photography, camping, and being a drummer in a bagpipe band.
Marie leads our customer support and services team. |

Laurel Hillerson works with troubled children and teenagers at EMQ, a large non-profit, social services agency in San Jose, California, where she is in the process of obtaining a graduate degree in Social Work. Laurel lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with her partner Steve, and enjoys music, photography, camping, and working out.
